Join us on Saturday, April 28th for the third in our series of Cocktail Lunches!
Quintessential Tiki Inspired: Mai Tai & Swizzle/Mojitio
The afternoon will start and end with a rum punch.
We will begin with a brief history of tiki and what these cocktails mean to their respective regions. We will cover the basic styles of rum, different kinds of citrus, and how different kinds of simple syrup or sweeteners can change the overall end result in cocktails. We will provide different fruits, herbs, syrups, and rums in order to make these drinks. We will show basic shaking and swizzling techniques. You’ll have an opportunity to recreate the traditional recipes or experiment with your own creations. Best of all, you’ll get to name your cocktails!
An array of snacks and light bites will be offered. A menu will be posted next week after we transition to our next seasonal dinner menu.
