Saturday, August 5th: Stirred & Boozy, The Old Fashioned and Manhattan

Join us on Saturday, August 5th for the first in our series of Cocktail Lunches!
Quintessential Whiskey Drinks: Manhattan & Old Fashioned
The afternoon will start and end with a whiskey punch.
We will begin with a short instruction covering the history of these cocktails, their builds, their ingredients, and basic technique for muddling and stirring. We will cover basic styles of whiskey and vermouth, how their flavor profiles differ, and what that translates to in cocktail development. We will set up the ingredient station with various citrus and herb garnishes, relevant flavored house syrups and demerara sugar, different vermouths, different bitters, and different styles or rye, bourbon, and whiskey. You’ll have an opportunity to recreate the traditional recipes or experiment with your own creations. Best of all, you’ll get to name your cocktails!

Saturday, July 8th: Tiki Inspired

Quintessential Tiki Inspired: Mai Tai & Swizzle/Mojitio
The afternoon will start and end with a rum punch.
We will begin with a brief history of tiki and what these cocktails mean to their respective regions. We will cover the basic styles of rum, different kinds of citrus, and how different kinds of simple syrup or sweeteners can change the overall end result in cocktails. We will provide different fruits, herbs, syrups, and rums in order to make these drinks. We will show basic shaking and swizzling techniques. You’ll have an opportunity to recreate the traditional recipes or experiment with your own creations. Best of all, you’ll get to name your cocktails!

Saturday, June 3rd: Daiquiri & Whiskey Sour

Quintessential Classic Sours: Daiquiri & Whiskey Sour
The afternoon will start and end with punch.
We will begin with a brief description and history of the various classifications of cocktails.(Sour, Cooler, Flip, etc.) what they mean to modern cocktails, and how we use their structure when creating drinks for our menu. We will then go over shaking techniques, the use of a strainer, how to use eggs, why we use eggs, and substituitions for egg white. You’ll have an opportunity to recreate the traditional recipes or experiment with your own creations. Best of all, you’ll get to name your cocktails!
